Camp Kesem at Hamline University is a camp that supports kids through and beyond a parent or guardian's cancer diagnosis by providing a free week of summer camp and year round support for families. Our camp is open to children ages 6-18 years old who has, or has had, a parent or primary caregiver with cancer. Our programs are designed to allow children the opportunity to find support, have fun, and feel safe, loved, and respected. We are a free resource for Kids affected by a parent or guardian's cancer. Our main program is our annual 1 week sleepaway camp, hosted in Paynesville, MN. Our camp is open to children ages 6-18 years old who has, or has had, a parent or primary caregiver with cancer. Our programs are designed to allow children the opportunity to find support, have fun, and feel safe, loved, and respected. We strive to deliver a transformative and inclusive experience to all families, and to that end we provide support with things like transportation, supplies for camp, and translation/interpreters. For families who may not feel comfortable sending their children to camp, Kesem national also offers monthly virtual programming.
