MacPhail Center for Music
MacPhail’s summer camps offer a fun, engaging, and creative music experience for kids and teens—whether they’re brand-new to music or ready to take their skills further. Campers explore instruments, play in ensembles, sing, move, create, and express themselves through hands-on activities that spark imagination and confidence. Each day blends high-quality music instruction with the joy of summer: making friends, trying new things, and discovering what music can mean to them. Only at MacPhail can young musicians unleash their creativity through top-notch arts instruction guided by world-class teaching artists.
Weekly day camps available June - August for all instruments, songwriting, electronic music, classical, jazz, rock, musical theatre and more.
Girls Rock n Roll Retreat
Girls Rock n Roll Retreat is a one-week music day camp where girls ages 9–16 explore creativity, build confidence, and make lifelong friends through rock and roll! Campers form bands, learn instruments, write original songs, design band art, and collaborate with supportive peers and inspiring professional musicians from the Twin Cities music scene. No experience is necessary- just curiosity and a love of music. After five exciting days of workshops, rehearsals, and creativity, each band performs their original song live at a Friday night showcase concert for family and friends at a local concert venue. Come find your voice, turn it up, and rock!
