Sensory Friendly Sundays at Science Museum of Minnesota
At the Science Museum, we know that all visitors learn differently. During Sensory Friendly hours, individuals and families can enjoy a quieter, less sensory-stimulating museum experience.
On the first Sunday of the month, the Science Museum hosts Sensory Friendly Sunday, where visitors who learn best in a calmer environment can experience a lights-up, sound-down Omnitheater show at 10 a.m.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Ticket prices range from $9.95-$34.90. Discounts are available for individuals, families, and groups with limited incomes. Admission is free for working Personal Care Attendants when they’re visiting with a client.
This program was created in consultation with the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM)
We have a variety of tools available to help our visitors with sensory issues make the most of their visit. Ask at the Exhibits Entrance for sound dampening headphones, a timer, or a kit containing headphones, fidgets, gloves, and sunglasses.
