The Bakken Museum's LEGO Robotics Program gives kids the opportunity to embark on an adventurous challenge to build and program LEGO robots to complete a series of tasks. No prior experience with computer programming or robots is needed.
LEGO Robotics occur on four consecutive Saturdays: January 8, 15, 22, and 29. We offer two classes:
Intro to LEGO Robotics is designed for students in grades 3-5, with less experience in coding. Students will work with a partner and Bakken educators to build and program a robot made from LEGO pieces and controlled by a LEGO remote.
LEGO Robotics Challenges is for students in grades 4-6. Here they will learn the basics of robot construction and how to make a robot move with code. Students will build and program a robot made from LEGO pieces and controlled by a LEGO EV3 remote that can navigate a maze.
