Dive into the underwater world of Lake Minnetonka! We will explore the fascinating fish that call the lake home, learn about lines (weaving, not fishing!), then let our imaginations swim wild as we weave fish-themed bookmarks, create colorful, fish-themed monoprints, and a fish collage from our monoprints and Lake Minnetonka maps. We will have a splashy good time bringing these aquatic creatures to life!
Participants will take home:
> Knowledge about our state and local fish
> An Investigation Guide with fish facts, activities details about color and weaving including how to make woven bookmarks at home.
> Monoprints they create
> Their colorful fish collage
> Their woven “fish” bookmark
Themes: Lake Minnetonka & Minnesota Ecology, Eco Art, Fiber Arts, Visual/Studio Art
