Mapping the Moon

September 19

Get ready for International Observe the Moon Night at the Bell Museum as we investigate different ways humans and spacecraft have observed and mapped the Moon. Scour the lunar surface with LRO to find water, practice remote sensing to create a topographical map, and become a crater hunter.

Note: There is a Gopher Football game on 9/19. Please see Parking & Transportation Services for details and tips.

Raptors

October 3, 11am - 2 pm

Kicking off the Peregrine Falcon exhibit, the Raptor Center and Bell Museum will host a variety of live raptors. Touch and observe bird wings, skulls and feet, and learn how to identify different birds using silhouettes and sizes. There will be two presentations on flight from 11-11:30 & 12:30-1 pm!
