Maple Syrup Demonstration | Kids Out and About Minneapolis/St. Paul

Maple Syrup Demonstration

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 03/24/2018
Tapping of maple and other trees for syrup has been going on for hundreds of years before the arrival of Europeans to North America.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Come out to Fort Ridgely State Park for a demonstration on tapping of maple trees. Meet on the Upper Picnic Shelter.

We will demonstrate what it takes to tap a tree, collect the sap and boil it to produce sweet syrup.

We will also talk about the history of tapping trees.
