Let's "Bee" Helpful Together! - Intergenerational Together Time
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/08/2017
Unnoticed by many, tiny buzzing visitors shape our world by pollinating flowers. These are not just honey bees and bumble bees; there are over 400 species of bees in our state!
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Solve the mystery of where these bees live and how to find them in the wild... perhaps you will be the next to find the most elusive Minnesota species. Together, you and your child (age 7-12) will build and take home a nest for tunnel-nesting bees, learn how to help all bees by creating bee-friendly habitat, and explore the pollinator gardens on a Bee Safari. You both will leave with the enthusiasm to learn more about these important insects, and the skills to find them in your own backyard.
Limit 20 pairs, Bee Center
