The Physics Department at Hamline University offers a dynamic, skills-based education that equips students to excel in a wide range of technical fields. With numerous research opportunities available, students collaborate with professors and peers on cutting-edge projects in diverse areas such as astrophysics, renewable energy, materials science, environmental science, optics, and computational physics. Hamline physics students actively engage in prestigious national research competitions, including the EPA Student Design Competition and NASA engineering challenges. We offer summer camp opportunities for teenagers. Hamline’s physics summer camps give students the opportunity to dive into a topic, gain hands-on experience, meet experts in the field, and learn about Minnesota companies that take the lead.
