Fall Festival at Fort Ridgely

Families will enjoy an evening of old fashioned outdoor fall fun at Fort Ridgely State Park. Stop by at any time at the upper picnic area between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Stay the entire time or join in the fun for an hour. Meet at the picnic shelter and enjoy a warm bonfire. There will be activities for the kids, plus hot chocolate and marshmallows for everyone. Guests are invited to bring their own hot dogs, meat or other food to grill. Naturalist Scott Kudelka will lead cemetery tours of Fort Ridgely Cemetery. Families may also want to take a short hike to historic Fort Ridgely to learn about the Fort and see the foundations of the original buildings.
