Ancient Caves - Science Museum of Minnesota
Want to know a secret? There’s important information about our changing climate hidden in the elaborate rock formations of some of Earth’s most beautiful caves! Explore vast underground worlds in search of geologic “fingerprints” that reveal clues about the planet’s climate history with paleoclimatologist Dr. Gina Moseley in Ancient Caves.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Join Moseley and her team of cave explorers as they travel to remote caves around the world, both above and below the water, in France, Iceland, the Bahamas, Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, and even southeastern Minnesota.
Ancient Caves is a Science Museum of Minnesota original, and made its world premiere in the Omnitheater in March 2020, just before the Science Museum’s pandemic closure. Don’t miss its return to the Omnitheater for the (giant) screen time it deserves!
Narrated by actor Bryan Cranston and featuring the music of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
