Saturday with a Scientist: Data Visualization

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/04/2019
Saturday with a Scientist is a regular program that connects you to University of Minnesota scientists and student researchers along with special hands-on interactive experiences. May 4 we're thinking about how we see data with interactive 2D and 3D computer graphics visualizations located throughout the museum!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Meet U of MN Department of Computer Science and Engineering students who are learning to make data come alive with interactive and multi-sensory data visualizations.

Go beyond the bar chart and check out semester-long projects from students working with College of Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota professor Dan Keefe, as they visualize data from the Bell’s collection to provide deeper takes on popular Bell exhibits.

Explore visualizations created using data from the City of St. Paul’s Open Data portal and gain a better understanding of our city.
