The Global Salsa Cook-Off at Midtown Global Market, where Midtown Global Market chefs will prepare their own take on salsa and compete for the title of Best Salsa of 2022. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite, as well as join the salsa dancing lessons and live music.
Sets of eight different 3-ounce salsa samples and chips with taste profiles and influences from around the globe will be sold and served for a donation of $15.
There is a limit of 150 salsa sampling sets produced, so advance reservations are recommended. The top three “public voted” winners will be announced on the Market’s Facebook and Instagram accounts by 3 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit Friends of Global Market whose mission is to support the free cultural music, entertainment, and programming throughout the year at Midtown Global Market.
This is an official associated event of the Minneapolis Aquatennial.
