Join us at Boom Island Park for the ROOT BEER RUN 2017!
Start time is 11am, Sunday, Sept 3rd. Arrive around 10:15am to check-in.
The Root Beer Run has a simple purpose: Be Active. Have Fun. Give Back. We hope kids of all ages join us for either the 0.5 mile dash or 1 mile fun run, both which finish with FREE ROOT BEER in a COMMEMERATIVE EVENT MUG, a kid’s zone of activities, local community partners, and fun...all while raising money for local nonprofits People for Parks and Red Shoe Society!
The 0.5 mile Dash is friendly for all ages! And, for those with a bit more energy, a 1 Mile fun run. 0.5 mile and 1 mile will both start close to 11am and will be untimed.
You can pre-purchase your EVENT TSHIRT with your registration (an additional $15 pre-purchased), or you will have the option to purchase on-site the day of the event (an additional $20 day-of).
Event Details
Registrants gather at Boom Island Park along the Mississippi River in NE Minneapolis to start and will be navigated along a 0.5k Dash route in the Park and/or the 1M fun run route in the park. Upon crossing the finish line ALL PARTICIPANTS will receive FREE ROOT BEER in a collector’s mug/glass. There will be plenty of other fun in store too!
Let's consider this an "Un-Race" - we are here to support: Be Active. Have Fun. Give Back. The 0.5k and 1 mile event will be un-timed.
What you will get is:
FREE ROOT BEER (or ROOT BEER FLOAT!!) in a collector’s mug or glass when you finish
A fun time from local community partners and our kid’s activity area
A warm-fuzzy feeling that you are supporting local non-profits
TSHIRTS
Plenty of Tshirts of all sizes (kids & adults) will be on-hand for those that pre-registered for them ($15), or those that want to purchase on-site ($20).
