Puppet Summer Camp

We offer puppet summer camp programming to young puppeteers ages 7-12. Join us for an immersive experience where children can explore materials, create puppets and stories, experience performing on stage, and make lasting friendships.
HOBT Puppet Camp will take place June 9-13, 2025 and August 25-29, 2025! Led by our expert puppeteer teaching artists, each session is different and topics are often tailored to the interests of young participants.
HOBT puppet camps are taught by a lead artist and one or two volunteers. Projects will be planned a few weeks prior to the camp by the lead artists and might involve making marionettes, masks, devising and performing a short story with large puppets from the Puppet Library and more! Campers will learn a vareity of puppetry skills, including paper mache, sculpting with newspaper, using recyclable materials and more!
You can sign up your child for a half day or a full day. Your child should attend all five days.
Children staying for a full day will have supervised lunch hour.
A full day is not suggested for children younger than 9.
