This scavenger hunt is designed to help you uncover some of Polk County’s best-kept secrets. Polk County is located in the Northwestern part of Wisconsin and borders Washington County in Minnesota.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning explorer, this interactive experience is a fun way to build your trip itinerary while discovering local businesses, scenic spots, and hidden gems throughout the county. Plus, there’s a chance to win an overnight getaway package*, including a stay in the Geodome at Big Rock Creek, a $80 gift card to The Dalles House Restaurant & Lounge and four tickets to a 2025 show at St. Croix Festival Theatre. Stop by the visitor center to get started and let the adventure begin!
It's easy to participate in the Polk County Spring Discovery Hunt. Here are the three steps:
STEP 1: Pick up your official Discovery Hunt card at the Polk County Visitor’s Center
STEP 2: Complete at least one activity from each of the six categories on the front of the card.
STEP 3: When complete, scan the QR code on the back of the card to submit your entry.
Activities within the categories of STEP 2 include great hikes and sights, like going behind the waterfall at Cascade Falls, in Osceola or camping with a full view of the stars from a geodome in St. Croix Falls or checking out the museums, galleries and concerts all over the county. Plus, get active biking, golfing, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, ATV cruising and more!

Winners will be notified via email after 5/15/2025. Submissions without a proper email address will be disqualified. Must be 18+ to enter. One entry per card, please.
