Making Art with Matisse

Learn to use color, patterns and shapes like Henri Matisse – they called him a “wild beast” (fauve) because his colors were so expressive! Draw and paint with acrylics and collage with colored paper to explore forms, perspective and design.

For kids ages 6-12, join us for Summer Art Camp Mondays through Thursday, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
We’re excited to welcome campers to Fred Richards Park again this summer. Camps will meet at the former golf clubhouse, 7640 Parklawn Ave. As we have fun learning key art concepts and skills, we’ll take advantage of the beautiful Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail winding through the park and the nearby picnic shelter and playground.
We request that campers bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and wear sunscreen.
