Encourage your child’s interest in Japanese language and culture through engaging, interactive lessons. Students develop foundational communication skills while building confidence in reading and speaking about everyday life.
Program Overview
Age Group: 9–14 years
Curriculum: Follows the Marugoto A1 program
Pace: 24 months to complete the A1 Level
Class Size: Small groups for personalized attention
Our program places strong emphasis on mastering hiragana and katakana, while introducing essential kanji and practical communication skills rooted in real-life situations.
Homework Expectations
To support progress in the online course, learners are encouraged while it is not compulsory to spend approximately 1.5–2 hours per week in CANVAS working through the Rikai book after material has been covered in live class sessions.

About Youth Academy Year 1
Youth Academy Year 1 represents the beginning of the A1 journey. Students build a strong literacy foundation while gradually increasing conversational ability.
There are two intakes for Year 1:

Fall Term (August) Stream B
Students progress through Fall, Winter, New Year, and Spring terms before advancing to the next stage.
