Minnesota's First Parade of the Summer
Enjoy the Grand Old Day Parade, which starts at 9:30 am at Dale Street, and marches (and rolls…and dances) down Grand Avenue - all the way to Fairview Avenue! You'll see fire trucks, local celebrities, area "royalty", marching bands, gymnasts and dancers, and (of course) candy!
Entertainment District
Listening to live music at our six unique Festival Gardens is a great way to ring in the summer in the Twin Cities! Dozens of the Twin Cities’ favorite bands perform throughout the afternoon.
It's Local District
This district will feature Minnesota-made Artisans
Sports & Wellness District
Guests of all ages take part in interactive games and fun from area sports teams and organizations. Shoot baskets, take a photo op with a team mascot or learn more about our local teams.
This is also the one-stop spot for personal wellness. Set your goals for the summer. Try new services; get a chair massage in the middle of Grand Avenue; participate in street yoga, talk to wellness professionals and more! The possibilities for your summer wellness plan are endless.
Family Fun District
One of the most popular and lively areas of Grand Old Day, the Family Fun District hosts free activities including carnival ride (new for 2016), inflatable bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, family-friendly performances and more!
Food Vendors
Over 100 food vendors will host booths along Grand Avenue, featuring an incredible array of the most delectable delights, including the best fair foods Minnesota has to offer!
