Bell Expeditions | Kids Out and About Minneapolis/St. Paul

Bell Expeditions

During August 11-15, we invite you to join us on the Bell’s Learning Landscape to observe and ask questions about the process of measuring, cataloging, and preparing natural history specimens!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Visit with Bell Museum researchers and students for an on-site expedition-style field experience. Set up outside of the museum, a team of students and scientists will work together to demonstrate how scientific collections are created. Visitors will watch the team work together to process plants, dissect animals, take various data, and preserve different types of samples, for the Bell’s natural history collections.

Come see bird, mammal, fish, insect and plant specimens being processed. Many of the specimens have been received from the Bell’s Salvage Wildlife program, an LCCMR funded program.

This is an in-person event at the Bell Museum.

Location:
Bell Museum, 2088 Larpenteur Avenue West, St Paul, MN 55113, United States
