Japanese art forms have been a source of fascination and inspiration for centuries, not only in Japan but internationally. Join us to explore traditional Japanese arts including calligraphy, block printing, sumi-e (ink-and-brush) painting, and origami and kirigami (paper arts).
For kids ages 6-12, join us for Summer Art Camp Mondays through Thursday, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
We’re excited to welcome campers to Fred Richards Park again this summer. Camps will meet at the former golf clubhouse, 7640 Parklawn Ave. As we have fun learning key art concepts and skills, we’ll take advantage of the beautiful Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail winding through the park and the nearby picnic shelter and playground.
We request that campers bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and wear sunscreen.
