Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
We begin with an introduction to stop motion with a puppet of our state bird fishing for our artistically created fish followed by our filmmakers planning a script, gathering and creating images and backgrounds, then filming their own stop motion movies. We will close out our workshop with a Film Festival for family & friends.
Participants will take home:
* An Investigation Guide outlining stop motion processes, ideas from Lake Minnetonka and beyond
* The assets they create for their movies (puppets, backdrops, art)
* Copies of the stop motion movies they create
Themes: Visual Arts, STEM, Regional Ecology
