Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
We all have stories to tell! We will hear some fun and surprising stories about famous people and places on and around Lake Minnetonka, then start coding! We will begin learning the platform Scratch with a starter project focusing on a famous character in Lake Minnetonka history, then create our own stories! Choose a focus (historic? futuristic? fact? fiction? your choice!) and use any resources desired (historic maps, postcards & photographs, digital images, art, and their own creations) to build and code their own animated story with the digital platform Scratch.
Participants will take home:
* An Investigation Guide highlighting including shareable Lake Minnetonka history, resources and how to use Scratch to animate at home
* Copies of digital projects created with Scratch
Themes: Lake Minnetonka, Visual/Studio Art, Paper Engineering, STEM/coding
