The Advocacy Unit: Create change in your community! What are you passionate about? Gender equality? Environmental justice? Racial justice? Transform your commitment to social justice into a blueprint for political action, and learn how to make change!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The MNDUL’s mission is to empower students through competitive academic debate to become engaged learners, critical thinkers, and active citizens who are effective advocates for themselves and their communities.

We are excited to offer a new summer camp section called The Advocacy Unit. The unit is for campers who want to explore ways of creating change in their communities around issues they are passionate about. This 5-day skills lab will focus on social justice and advocacy, with building blocks of argumentation, research and public speaking.

Our 1 week session begins on July 9, 2018. The camp will be focused on high school age students.

Camp will be held on Augsburg's University campus and will be coached by community activists and advocates. All interested students are encouraged to apply, as we offer scholarship and fee waivers.
