Acting: Scene Study (Grades 4-6)

GRADES 4 – 6
Summer Theatre Workshops for Grades 4-6 students focus on developing and honing theatrical skills. Guided by professional Teaching Artists, students will spend their days collaborating as an ensemble of performers. They will work with themes and material that excites them and expands their skillsets. As part of the last day of workshop, families are invited to join us for a short presentation of skills learned throughout the week.
- Musical Theatre – As a part of each day of workshop, students will work with both a professional Choreographer and Music Director to develop dancing & singing skills.
- Acting – As a part of each day of workshop, students will participate in Acting & Improvisation classes led by professional Teaching Artists.
Location: Robbinsdale Middle School – 3730 Toledo Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422
Tuition: $385.00 (including a $10 handling fee)
STC offers afternoon extended care for Grades 4 – 6 from 3:30 – 4:30pm. Families must register for the full week of afternoon extended care (Monday – Thursday), for a cost of $60.00 per student. We encourage families to register early, as we have a limited number of spots for this program.
Acting: Scene Study
Student actors will work with professional teaching artists this summer, as they dig into scripts and scenes from favorite (and upcoming!) Stages Theatre Company productions – both comedic and dramatic. Scene work challenges actors to delve deep into character work, make clear choices, work alongside fellow actors, all while honing their technique – projection, physicality, and confident stage presence.
