About the Camp:
This School of Rock camp is for rockers with less than 3 months experience playing electric guitar; including those with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE!
Designed for ages1 13-18, this camp is taught by professional musicians who specialize in teaching teens.
The camp is three days (1pm - 4pm each day) and will teach complete beginners how to tune their guitar, familiarize them with the parts of the guitar and how to care for their instrument, how to connect the guitar to the amp and how to work the amp properly to avoid feedback and blowing out the amp.
They'll also learn the basic fundamentals of playing the guitar such as playing chords, strumming and picking while learning to play rock songs like 7 Nation Army by The White Stripes and Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones.
Students will need to bring their electric guitar (included in this package) to participate in this camp, but may leave their amp, tuner and cable at home (we'll provide those for the camp.)
Bring a snack each day. We have a refrigerator to keep items cold and a soda machine (75cents). We have a water faucet but encourage you to bring a bottle of water with you.
