The Hearts and Minds Learning Community invites kids ages 3-6 to join us for week-long, drop-off summer adventures led by our professional early childhood educator, Ms. Emily. Join us for one week or join in the fun all summer long!
WEEK ONE - June 5-9 - 10am-3pm - FOREST LIFE
Join us as we build tree forts, take adventure walks and experience life in the forest.
WEEK TWO - June 12-16 - 10am-3pm - TREES
From the tips of their leaves to the bottom of their roots, we’ll focus on tree exploration and activities in our outdoor forest space and beyond.
WEEK THREE - June 19-23 - 10am-3pm - WATER
Join us as splish, splash, run and discover why water is important to every living thing. Bring your swimming suit, we’re definitely going to get soaked!
WEEK FOUR - June 26-30 - 10am-3pm - EARTH
Let’s get dirty! Join us as we get hands-on and play in the dirt, mud kitchen, learn about soil and plant seeds to begin our summer gardening projects.
Ready to make it rain? We’ll be learning about the cycle of rain, doing some creative experiments, looking up to identify the clouds and more.
WEEK SIX - July 17-21 - 10am-3pm - RECYCLING, REUSE AND POLLUTION
How can we take better care of the earth? What is pollution and how can we reduce our contribution to it? From crafts made from recycled objects to litter collection walks, we’re ready to find smart ways to reduce, reuse and recycle — and encourage others to do so too.
WEEK SEVEN - July 24-28 - 10am-3pm - COLORS OF NATURE
Let’s color our worlds! This week, we’ll be creating natural color wheels with found objects, becoming scientists to experiment with color mixing and more, channeling our inner Picassos with creative outdoor painting projects and much more.
WEEK EIGHT - July 31 - August 4 - 10am-3pm - ROCKS AND FOSSILS
If you’re all about rocks and fossils, this is the adventure week for you! Calling all geologists and palentologists!!
WEEK NINE - August 7 - 11 - 10am-3pm - ATTENTION CAMPERS
We’re building an outdoor campsite, learning how to make a camp fire, identifying bugs, conducting camping observations and experiments and more! We’ll also begin reaping the rewards of our summer garden!
WEEK TEN - August 14-18 - 10am-3pm - PACK IN, PACK OUT
We’re wrapping up summer at our campsite, having a bonfire, roasting marshmallows for s’mores, having a blast with camping-themed arts and crafts, experimenting, tracking and more.
