Llama Trek at Minnesota Zoo

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 09/02/2019
You "herd" right! Llamas have come to the Minnesota Zoo! Llama Trek is a special, immersive experience along the Zoo's Northern Trail. Walk among free-roaming llamas and learn about the Andes Mountain area of South America.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Besides free-roaming llamas, Llama Trek also features guinea pigs and rheas, both native to South America. Guinea pigs will be roaming in an exhibit modeled after Peru’s Machu Picchu. Rheas, which are large flightless birds, will have their own space next to Llama Trek. Llama Trek is open through Labor Day and is free with general Zoo admission. While at Llama Trek, guests can purchase a ticket to walk a llama on a special llama path!
