Día De Muertos at Midtown Global Market

Midtown Global Market is partnering with CLUES (Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio) to present a free, festive, and educational celebration commemorating Día de Muertos on Saturday, November 2 from 12 – 3 p.m. Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a tradition-filled Mexican holiday where families remember the departed and share memories of loved ones.
A centerpiece of the event will be an authentic Ofrenda (altar) created from objects that remind us of loved ones who have passed on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picture to add to it. There will be CLUES art workshops, a puppet parade consisting of Alebrije and Mojigangas puppets created by local Latine artist Gustavo Boada and community members, and traditional Morelos dance, Aztec dancers, live music, a photo booth, and more!
Food specials will be offered by Manny’s Tortas, Salsa A La Salsa, El Taco Toro, and Andy’s Garage.
