Devising Gender: An Exploration of Art and Identity
What is gender and how does it impact life? Use theatre to discuss themes of gender, sexuality and other intersectional aspects of identity while learning a multitude of approaches to devising original work. Centered in contemporary and historical queer art movements, participants will use found images, objects, audio and texts to generate a performance of solo and group vignettes. We especially encourage queer-identified actors to audition, and we welcome allies to audition as well.
